U16's win against Hucknall

Our Under 16’s team made the long drive to Hucknall, Nottingham on Sunday 15th September to play their league match.

The game got off to a fantastic start, with Kyle scoring a penalty after just two minutes on the clock.  This was followed a minute later with a goal from Hucknall.  Tyler then scored Sedgefield’s second goal of the match before the opposition quickly equalised.  The first quarter ended with a 2-2 on the scoreboard.

The second quarter started with goals in quick succession from Thomas, Kyle, Gregor and Iesha giving the team a comfortable 4-7 lead at half time.  After a team talk by coach Ben, the team were determined to continue their winning ways and wanted to score as many goals as possible to help in their pursuit of winning the league.

The third quarter started with another quick goal from Kyle, followed by more goals from Thomas, Kyle and Finley which resulted in a 6-12 win by the end of this quarter.

Going into the final quarter, the team could see the win ahead of them, but knew they had to continue working hard and showing off their impressive fitness skills in order to look as fit in this quarter as they did at the start of the game.  The quarter started with Hucknall scoring a couple of goals before Sedgefield found their fighting spirit and scored another 3 goals.  Final score was a very well deserved 10-14 win and a huge well done to Bram who, not only played up 2 age groups but also played in goal for the entire game.
