U14's win against Leeds
Sedgefield Water Polo sent a mixed U14 team to The Edge, Leeds for their league match on Sunday 12th May.
The game got off to a very quick start with Sedgefield leading by 5-3 at the end of the first quarter and 11-5 at half time. The final score was an impressive 16-6, with goals scored by Indie, Finley, Harry, Jasper, Thomas and Bram.
A special mention to parents Imelda and Morgan who kindly manned the table and kept the scores in order to allow the match to go ahead, and Sarah who provided team manager support to the opposition.
The young team are now looking forward to their away fixture against Morley at the end of this month, which will be more challenging due to less players being available over the half term holidays – however, the team are still confident that they can put what they are learning at training into practice in a competitive match.
