Top goalscorer award for Thomas at U14 Inters
Sedgefield Water Polo Club would like to congratulate Thomas Forrest who was recently selected to represent the North East Boys Under 14’s team at the Inter Regional Tournament. This was held over the weekend of 18th and 19th November in Walsall, West Midlands.
The North East Steelers were placed in a group alongside Scotland Saltires, East, South West Sharks and West Midland Warriers. After an initial 11-7 win against East, the boys then lost against Scotland 8-5 in a tightly contested game before losing 12-4 to South East and then won 8-6 against West Midlands, which placed them in overall 7th position and secured them a place in Division 2 for the U16 tournament in 18 months’ time.
Thomas was also awarded the tournaments highest goal-scorer award after having scored a fantastic 23 goals over the weekend. This is an excellent achievement.
