TOP OF DIVISON 3 LEAGUE - MENS WATER POLO
Sedgefield Water Polo Club’s pre-season preparation paid off in their first game of the 2023 British Water Polo League season on Saturday 16th September with a convincing win against Croydon at Haberdashers Askes School, Watford. The team pushed the counterattack hard and finished the first quarter with an 8-2 lead. After a dominant display, the final score was a 28-12 win. On Sunday morning, the team played Worthing, where teams defended well and earned a point as the game finished in an 11-11 draw.
After this first league weekend, Sedgefield are top of the Division 3 table and hope to maintain their unbeaten start next month when they will travel to Manchester to play matches against Otter, Castleford and Cheltenham.
