GB representation for Ben at the Generation Cup
We would like to congratulate Ben Alderson, 18, who has recently returned from a trip to Sabadell in Barcelona where he represented GB’s U19 water polo squad at the BIWPA Generation Cup Tournament. The event was hosted by CN Sabadell, one of the leading water polo clubs in Europe and teams from eight different countries competed.
The GB team faced top level and professional opposition throughout the tournament and finished in 10th place, with Ben scoring a fantastic six goals over the duration of the tournament. Ben was vice captain of the squad and commented that “there was a lot of high intensity polo, a lot of swimming but brilliant water polo against some of the best teams in Europe”.
Ben and his GB squad will train hard over the coming months as they prepare for their European Qualifiers to be held early next year.
